leading UK provider of mechanical, structural, and engineering solutions across the industrial, water treatment, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Design Engineer – Structural Designer to join our design department based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Structural Designer with mechanical engineering knowledge to support the delivery of high-quality structural steelwork models and drawings. This role offers a balance between design office-based responsibilities and occasional UK site visits.

  • Develop accurate 3D models using Autodesk Advance Steel from client data or internal designs.
  • Conduct 3D point cloud surveys using in-house scanning equipment (Site visits to carry out scanning are required ). In-house training provided.
  • Produce 2D fabrication and general arrangement drawings from 3D models.
  • Support fabrication and installation teams with technical design input.
  • Interpret engineering specifications to deliver compliant, cost-effective design outputs.
  • Resolve technical design issues and support continuous design improvements.
  • Create detailed component and assembly drawings based on process datasheets and reference projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (lower qualifications considered with the opportunity to upskill).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in steelwork design, fabrication, or installation preferred.
  • Proven ability to design steel structures such as platforms, staircases, and support frames.
  • Experience with Autodesk Advance Steel preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Familiarity with STAAD. Pro Advanced, RAM Structural System, RAM Connection, and RAM Elements are beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical/structural engineering knowledge and ability to interpret technical specifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

  • Bonus scheme

Role:  M&E Site Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Role:  M&E Site Manager


Employment: Contract

The role comprises seeing the workforce on an M&E project compiling allocation sheets, Quantifying works required onsite and scheduling works. The candidate must possess a high level of computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Navisworks and must be able to read and understand technical drawings. The candidate must have a minimum SMSTS, First aid, ipaf would be advantageous, as is confined space training, and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role with a proven track record.

Salary:

£25.00-£30.00 per hour
