Vital Energi Project
Vital Energi presently building an Energy from Waste (EfW) Plant on land previously used for a coal-fired power station at Drakelow, south of Burton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire. The plant will use Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) as feedstock for gasification units resulting in the generation of heat and electricity.
The EfW plant consists of 3 steam-generating streams incorporating combustor, boiler, and bag filter, feeding into a single steam turbine driving an 18MWe nominal output generating set. The plant is to be installed indoors, in a purpose-built building.
The plant is designed and built based on a reference plant with similar, 3 stream configurations but featuring different designs for most of the main process island blocks.

Industrial Engineering & installation services Ltd were awarded the following work scope
